I've found Cura tree supports to be completely unsuitable for the complex shapes I'm trying to print whereas Prusa Slicer's basic supports have worked great for me pretty much all the time. What I'm doing to solve it for now is just putting a big brim around the whole model to better anchor the organic support. You can adjust the brim of the support by increasing the "first layer expansion" setting from 3mm to (I use) 7mm. I think some supports will always be tough to remove depending on their size and orientation within the print, but the best luck I’ve ever had was with the settings a user shared on the Prusa forums, and many people seem to agree.
